Apparently, Outcast is coming all the way back to Vheshrame with us. YAY. I think Mirhandrax has decided Outcast is somehow a good person and therefore Mirhandrax is honor bound to help him. Did I say yay yet? YAY.

This trip takes a lot longer by passenger coach than it did by airship. It is also EVEN MORE BORING. Not as boring as standing watches waiting for the bandits to do something ANYTHING. Still. Boring. I can't even write in my scroll properly because the carriage bounces too much.

I've been doing a bunch of reading in it because at least it's the Scroll of Infinite Worlds to Read* so there's no end of new things to read even if almost all of them are about alien people on alien worlds. It also has the weird little games to play. And I have friends to keep me company when they don't get too tired for conversation. So it's not really that bad. It's just there's nothing much interesting for me to write about even when I can. "Stopped at another little village today. This one was by a river so Orren fishers instead of Herethroy farmers. Had fresh fish for lunch, very tasty. Stopped for the night at a Herethroy village. Sleeping in another barn." Yeaaaaaah. The adventuring life, thrills and excitement without end!

* Scroll of Infinite Worlds to Read is a pretty good name, actually. Maybe I'll call it that instead of the Awesome Scroll of Awesomeness or whatever I'd been calling it. Just "Scroll of Infinite Worlds" is catchier, but kinda misleading maybe.

So Boomsy, if I don't write it's not because I've been killed by remorshka or kidnapped by norren or mind-eaten by a mentavore**. Although it might be because I died of boredom.

** I bet if Kijji ate my brain he'd keep updating my scroll. EEEEEEEEE there's a horrible thought.

But more likely it's that I have nothing of interest to write about, and also we're travelling through very safe Flats in Ketheria so there's no likelihood of anything dangerous happening so STOP WORRYING.

I've re-done my fur twice while in the carriage even though it's a terrible terrible place for furstyling. Now it looks more like the teeny picture [livejournal.com profile] djinni did for me though, so that's kind of nice. It's darker purple on top and white instead of pale purple for the underside now.

Aaaaand that's all I can think of for now.

Your very bored cousin,

If you haven't spent it all on the way bailing Mirhandrax out of trouble? };)

That falls under the category of questions not to ask the universe, lest the universe be tempted to answer you in a fashion you find less than happy! See also, 'could things possibly get any worse?' Wait a while and they will.

What sorts of things have you been reading? Anything that is difficult to interpret? Are there any topics you would like to be pointed to? Have you gotten around to asking Sythyry to study your scroll and maybe add the ability for it to make sound from our Internet, just like it can make moving images and text?

I thought you might have used the scroll to send zir a private message of some sort. Yes, you should be able to do that.

And the 'singularity' can mean a number of different things! What you are talking about is a bit ambiguous.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Singularity

See? There's a whole PAGE dedicated to helping people figure out which of the things they are talking about when they use the term 'singularity', so they can then look up information on the particular one they are thinking of. Mainly, it's a term in mathematics and geometry, that was then used to describe something that happens in the natural sciences, that then became popularized and was then used to describe concepts that have some similarities to the thing that happens in the natural sciences, or in theater shows or novels that refer to the strange thing that happens in the natural sciences. This was used because the thing that happens in the natural sciences makes a good plot device, being not well understood.

Uhm. Singularities are likely well understood by certain beings on the World Tree. Those beings are Locador demons, though, because the MAIN version of the concept has to do with math and geometry and space and thus, in your world, Locador.

Oh those! Those are kind of like the natural science ones from my universe, but that they have managed to understand and tame. Thinking of them as Locador angels/demons that they have enslaved is, while not TECHNICALLY accurate, is really really close conceptually!

That's quite pragmatic of you! But I would consider it this way: the more you can learn about bending and folding space and odd forms of geometry and stuff, the more you can push the boundaries of Locador, since all of these things various other universes have figured out mathematically? That is directly related with how Locador works in your world, since Sythyry's journal had DIRECTLY shown that the language that the Locador angel speaks and thinks in is a type of math that is fairly well understood in my world, but not well understood in yours by anything other than Locador angels. Consider the implications of that for a bit!

Would it really be a good idea to put Outcast in the same general vicinity with Vae? He desperately wants something and his judgment is suspect.

On the other hand, one way or another you'd probably be rid of him.

Maybe she'd turn Mirhandrax into a female mewelicap to be Outcasts's new girlfriend?

I am sure that SOME wizard at some point has helped someone do strange shape-shifting into the forms of various nonPrimes for the purpose, presumably for a tidy sum of money?
